In order to celebrate the 40th anniversary of China's reform and opening up and the arrival of the New Year, and to enrich the spare time life of international students, the international cooperation and exchanges department held  "celebrating the 40th anniversary of China's reform and opening up and the New Year gala for international students in 2019" on the evening of December 20, 2018 at 19:00. With great enthusiasm, both Chinese and overseas students played 13 programs including songs, dances and musical Instruments together, so that the cultures from different countries can blossom on the stage and bring a rich cultural feast to the audience.


"YOU ARE THE REASON" by COLLEEN CHASARA and MUJENI TANATSWANASHE from Zimbabwe;Russian student VIKTOEIYA's flute solo drew applause.Ethiopian students ASHENAFI MANDELA AYELE and NEGASH TSIONGRIMA sing and play "hallelujah" to the guitar. LLOYD MAYALELE, also from Zimbabwe, brought the party to a head with an original RAP.


In addition to the songs, international students also brought traditional dances with their own national characteristics. Four girls from Rwanda, eight students from Ethiopia performed traditional dance in Ethiopia and Rwanda. "I am very happy to have the opportunity to perform my country's traditional dance at the New Year party, and I hope students from other countries can enjoy it," NASAGAMBE said with joy.
