The Delegation Headed by the Vice Consul General of the Canadian Consulate General in Shanghai Visited Wuchang University of Technology


On March 13, a delegation including Jean-christian Brillant, Deputy Consul-General of the Canadian Consulate-General in Shanghai, Xu Weilun, chief representative of the International Trade and Investment Office of the Canadian BC government, Cai jing from the Wuhan representative office of the Canadian Business Company, visited Wuchang University of TechnologyWUT). Professor Tu Fangjian, party secretary of the university, professor Peng Yuanjie, chairman of the board and other leaders warmly received the guests.

Chairman Peng chaired the meeting. Party secretary Tu, on behalf of WUT, welcomed guests and introduced the development history of WUT. He also introduced the intercollegiate cooperation and exchange with 's Niagara College and Capton University in Canada. He said that WUT will always adhere to the strategy of opening up, and promote the exchange of education between China and Canada to a new level.


Jean-christian Brillant, Deputy Consul-General said that he is very impressed with WUT. WUT actively carries out international cooperation and communication strategy, adheres to the opening policy, and achieves great results of bilateral cooperation. He encourages more academic exchange activities and communication between teachers and students in colleges and universities of Canada and China. He said the Canadian Consulate General in Shanghai will  promote Canadian students to study in China and provide support at the government level.


During the meeting, Steven Chow, who is in charge of Niagara college's China office, introduced the achievements of WUT and Niagara College in jointly developing China-Canada cooperation in hotel management. Mandy Ma, representative of the Capton University's China office also introduced the cooperation with WUT.


Before the meeting, the leaders of WUT accompanied the guests in meeting the students of China-Canada cooperation in hotel management in WUT and took a group photo. Liu Xiaolu, dean of the international cooperation and exchange department of WUT, Xu Hongyi, dean of the business school of WUT, attended the activity.
