Hesterman Nursing College, Germany Visited Wuchang University of Technology

On the morning of April 7, Ingo Heysterman, dean of Hesterman Nursing College, Germany visited Wuchang University of Technology (WUT). Yuan Heping, dean of the school of nursing, Jiang Guohua, Chen Hongmei and Liu Xiaolu, warmly received him and his companions. During the talks, the two sides respectively introduced the basic situation and ideas of running their respective colleges. Professor Yang Heping stressed that WUT implemented the opening up strategy, payed attention to international cooperation and exchanges, actively promoted the collaboration between medical science and education, elaborated characteristic brand specialty, deepened successful quality education, and continuously improved the quality of talent training, and its achievements had been widely recognized by the society.

Ingo Heysterman, dean of the Hesterman Nursing College in Germany, said he had heard about the characteristics and achievements of WUT for a long time. He came here to seek cooperation, hoping to carry out in-depth inter-school communication with WUT, explore the "dual system" talent training mode, and improve the professional ability of nursing students.

The two sides conducted in-depth and detailed discussions on the mode of joint training, faculty building, curriculum system and teaching reform, and graduate employment. President Ingo Heysterman also visited the practical teaching center of our school of nursing with great interest. He spoke highly of WUT's educational conditions and expressed his great expectation for in-depth cooperation in cooperative education, teacher-student exchange and academic research.
