Brief Introduction to WUT

Established in 1997, Wuchang University of Technology（WUT）is a full-time undergraduate university with coordinated development of science, engineering, art, management, economics, literature, law, medicine and other disciplines. In 2018, WUT passed the Qualification Assessment of the Ministry of Education. WUT is located in "Wuhan • China Optical Valley", covering an area of 828,100 square meters, with a building area of 444,000 square meters. It is located at the foot of the beautiful Meian Mountain, surrounded by Tangxun Lake, the largest urban lake in China, on three sides. The European-style building is nestled in the green mountains and green waters, which is picturesque and one of the top ten beautiful lake-view campuses in China.

There are 13 schools and 56 undergraduate programs in WUT, including School of Artificial Intelligence, School of Intelligent Construction, School of Life Science, School of Nursing, School of Business, School of Law and Literature, School of Art Design, School of Film, Television and Media, School of International Education, School of Modern Industrial, School of Marxism and School of Continuing Education. At present, WUT has over 19,000 students of undergraduates, post-graduates, and international students.

WUT is well-equipped with many kinds of facilities, including an academic centre, a stadium, a club, a gym, a student service centre, a student activity centre, a 3D cinema, standardized students' apartments and dining halls, financial service networks, a hospital, and supermarkets.

WUT ranked Second Prize three times in the ranking of international competitiveness of private universities in China. WUT, by international development strategy, is quite fruitful in international communication and cooperation.The university has established partnerships with more than 50 universities from more than 20 countries, and has enrolled 300 international students from more than 20 countries. At the same time, WUT have set up overseas campuses in Osaka of Japan, Paris of France and Bangkok of Thailand. Besides, Sino-Canada School has been established in cooperation with Niagara College in Canada, and the Sino-Korea school has been established in cooperation with many high-level universities in South Korea.WUT provides great platforms for students to seek further study, paid internship, study tour, and employment overseas. In recent years, the university has provided more than 1000 students with the opportunity to study and exchange in the United States, Canada, France, Japan, South Korea, Singapore and other countries.

WUT has won various prizes, such as "China's Top 100 Universities in Graduates' Employment Competitiveness", "China’s Top Ten Competitive Brand in Private Universities", "China's Top Private Universities in Comprehensive Strength", "China's Top Ten Private Universities in Influence". It was ranked No. 144 in the four-year-programme education in the list of China’s universities in 2012, one of the only two private universities.
